The Terre Haute Rex's Schwab comes through in the clutch, upends the Hannibal Cavemen, 1-0

Atlee Schwab drove in the go-ahead run to give the Terre Haute Rex (4-1) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Terre Haute Rex hung on to beat the Hannibal Cavemen (0-5) 1-0 on Sunday.

After Kyle Kempf tripled, Schwab came to the plate with two outs in the sixth and singled, bringing home Kempf.

It was a good day at the plate for the Terre Haute Rex's Schwab. Schwab went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the fourth, sixth, and eighth innings.

Taylor Krugh pitched lights out for the Terre Haute Rex. The Hannibal Cavemen managed just one hit off of Krugh, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out one during his four innings of work.

Jonathon Wandling was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Terre Haute Rex batters and allowing one run.

Michael Marsinek recorded his first win of the year for the Terre Haute Rex. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Wandling couldn't get it done on the bump for the Hannibal Cavemen, taking a loss.
