Nemer helps the Lorain County Ironmen down the West Virginia Miners 6-2

Anthony Nemer went 1-4 and hit a home run as the Lorain County Ironmen (4-1) took home a 6-2 victory over the West Virginia Miners (2-4) at Linda K. Epling Stadium on Saturday.

He homered in the fifth inning.

Jake Post struck out eight hitters en route to the the Lorain County Ironmen win. Post allowed one earned run on two hits and four walks over 5 2/3 innings.

The Lorain County Ironmen had no answer for Dustin Nuckels, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Nuckels held the Lorain County Ironmen hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Rolando Celis ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
