Ryan Bertram went 1-2 as the Terre Haute Rex (4-1) took home a 4-0 victory over the Springfield Sliders (2-4) at Bob Warn Field at Sycamore Stad on Saturday.

Kendall Paluch's seven strikeouts were enough to push the Terre Haute Rex past the Springfield Sliders. The Terre Haute Rex's pitcher gave up just three hits over five shutout innings.

A bright spot for the Springfield Sliders in the defeat was Kyle Weller, who allowed only one run while striking out six.

Weller ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year.
