Four first-inning runs helped the Solano Mudcats to a 9-6 win over the Auburn Wildcats (4-7) at James Field on Sunday.

The Solano Mudcats were led by Tucker Bishop's hitting. Bishop went 4-6 and scored two runs. He singled in the first, second, and third innings and doubled in the seventh inning.

The Auburn Wildcats had no answer for Joe McIntire, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. McIntire held the Auburn Wildcats hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.

Michael Duman got it done on the hill on the way to a win. He allowed three runs over six innings. Duman struck out six, walked five and gave up six hits.

Brennan Forster was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out two.
