The Neptune Beach Pearl failed to take advantage of Michael Theofanopoulos's effort at the plate on Wednesday, losing 9-6 to the Nevada Big Horns (7-5) in 10 innings at College of Alameda.

Theofanopoulos hit two home runs for the Neptune Beach Pearl. Theofanopoulos went 4-4 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Theofanopoulos homered in the fifth and ninth innings.

Michael Gruber racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Nevada Big Horns. He singled in the ninth inning and doubled in the tenth inning.

Daniel Shine recorded his first win of the year for the Nevada Big Horns. He allowed two runs over two innings. Shine struck out one, walked none and gave up four hits.

Jake Andrews took the loss for the Neptune Beach Pearl. He lasted just one inning, walked three, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
