The Cotuit Kettleers top the Falmouth Commodores behind Bryson's 2 hits, 9-3

A superb effort by Caleb Bryson hoisted the Cotuit Kettleers (25-18) to a 9-3 win in seven innings over the Falmouth Commodores (26-18) on Sunday at Lowell Park.

Bryson hit two home runs for the Cotuit Kettleers. Bryson went 2-4 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Bryson homered in the first and fourth innings.

Seven runs in the first three innings helped the Cotuit Kettleers blow out the Falmouth Commodores. A two-run home run by Bryson and a two-run home run by Danny Diekroeger in the first inning supplied the early offense for the Cotuit Kettleers.

Kevin Newman boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Falmouth Commodores. He singled in the third and sixth innings.

Vaughn Hayward recorded his first win of the year for the Cotuit Kettleers. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered five hits.

Kevin McCanna couldn't get it done on the hill for the Falmouth Commodores, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked two and struck out two.
