The Hyannis Harbor Hawks need walk-off single to beat the Falmouth Commodores, 5-4

A walk-off single from Chase Griffin brought home the winning run for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (1-0) in a 5-4 victory over the Falmouth Commodores (2-1) in 12 innings at McKeon Park on Saturday.

The Hyannis Harbor Hawks were led by Griffin's hitting. Griffin went 1-5 and drove in one. He singled in the fourth and twelfth innings.

Steve Wilkerson had two extra-base hits for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. He doubled in the sixth and seventh innings and singled in the twelfth innings.

Joe Harvey pitched lights out for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. The Falmouth Commodores managed just one hit off of Harvey, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Andrew Istler improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. Istler struck out three, walked none and gave up one hit.

Kevin Mooney ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
