The Normal CornBelters (37-42) and the Rockford Aviators (30-49) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the Normal CornBelters that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out an 8-6 win at The Corn Crib.

Keoni Manago led the Normal CornBelters' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the sixth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

Jeff Kremer racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Rockford Aviators. He singled in the fifth and sixth innings.

The Normal CornBelters couldn't get anything going as long as Kyle Brueggemann was pitching. Brueggemann held the Normal CornBelters hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Jose Trinidad recorded his fifth win of the year for the Normal CornBelters. He allowed four runs over 2 2/3 innings. Trinidad struck out two, walked three and gave up four hits.

Connor Little was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
