The Windy City ThunderBolts (31-39) and the Frontier Greys (26-44) each put runners in scoring position on Wednesday, but the Windy City ThunderBolts capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 2-1 win at Standard Bank Stadium.

Daniel Cropper handled the Frontier Greys' lineup with ease, racking up six strikeouts. Cropper allowed one earned run on four hits and no walks over seven innings.

Despite the loss, the Frontier Greys' Joe Zeller dominated the Windy City ThunderBolts' batters, giving up two runs and striking out seven.

Markus Solbach recorded his second win of the year for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.
