A magnificent effort by Seth Webster hoisted the Schaumburg Boomers (39-29) to a 3-1 win over the Rockford Aviators (26-42) on Sunday at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium.
Webster picked up the win for the Schaumburg Boomers. Webster allowed no earned runs, four hits and no walks while striking out two over nine innings of work.
It was a good day at the plate for the Schaumburg Boomers' Steve McQuail. McQuail went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second and third innings.
Despite the loss, the Rockford Aviators' Nick Anderson dominated the Schaumburg Boomers' batters, giving up three runs and striking out seven.
Anderson was charged with his sixth loss of the year.
