It took 11 innings, but the Rockford Aviators (26-41) managed to put away the Schaumburg Boomers (38-29) 7-4 on Saturday at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium.

With the score tied at four in the eleventh inning, Drew Rucinski came to the plate and singled, scoring Tyler Smith.

Kenny Bryant racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Rockford Aviators. He homered in the seventh inning and singled in the tenth inning.

Andrew Snowdon brought the heat against the Schaumburg Boomers during his outing. The Schaumburg Boomers managed just two hits off of Snowdon, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his three innings of work.

Cody Griebling was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Rockford Aviators batters and allowing three runs.

Preston Hatcher (2-2) took the loss for the Schaumburg Boomers. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked three, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
