Luis Parache drove in three runs as the Normal CornBelters (35-31) took home an 8-3 victory over the Florence Freedom (37-29) at UCMC Stadium on Friday.

Mitch Mormann looked sharp on the mound. The Florence Freedom managed just one hit off of Mormann, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Steve Matre put together a nice outing. Matre gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his three innings of work.

Luis Noel recorded his sixth win of the year for the Normal CornBelters. He allowed three runs over five innings. Noel struck out five, walked three and gave up four hits.

Jason Wilson was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in five innings, walked one and struck out three.
