A walk-off single from Tyler Smith brought home the winning run for the Rockford Aviators (24-41) in a 4-3 victory over the Gateway Grizzlies (40-26) in 11 innings at Aviator Stadium on Thursday.

Gabe DeMarco got on base three times in the game for the Rockford Aviators. He singled in the second inning and tripled in the seventh inning.

Jon Gulbransen allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk while striking out four over six innings of work.

Seafth Howe recorded his third win of the year for the Rockford Aviators. Howe struck out three, walked none and gave up one hit.

Zac Treece was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
