The Schaumburg Boomers (37-28) and the Windy City ThunderBolts (28-37) each put runners in scoring position on Monday, but the Schaumburg Boomers capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 4-3 win at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium.

Despite the loss, the Windy City ThunderBolts' Dyllon Nuernberg dominated the Schaumburg Boomers' batters, giving up two runs and striking out seven.

Preston Hatcher recorded his second win of the year for the Schaumburg Boomers. Hatcher struck out none, walked none and gave up two hits.

Reese McGraw (0-1) took the loss for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
