The Schaumburg Boomers (34-28) and the Windy City ThunderBolts (27-35) each put runners in scoring position on Sunday, but the Schaumburg Boomers capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 2-1 win at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium.

Frank Pfister went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Schaumburg Boomers. He singled in the second and fourth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.

Cody Griebling picked up the win for the Schaumburg Boomers. Griebling pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out two.

Travis Tingle couldn't get it done on the bump for the Windy City ThunderBolts, taking a loss. He lasted just eight innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
