The Rockford Aviators (16-33) and the Joliet Slammers (21-29) each put runners in scoring position on Saturday, but the Rockford Aviators capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 7-6 win at Silver Cross Field.

The Rockford Aviators were led by Jeff Kremer's hitting. Kremer went 3-5 and drove in one. He singled in the fourth, sixth, and ninth innings.

Jerod Yakubik did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Joliet Slammers, reaching base four times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning and singled in the second and eighth innings.

Matt Frahm got the win, running his season record to 3-0. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Jonathan Gonzalez ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
