A superb effort by Dyllon Nuernberg hoisted the Windy City ThunderBolts (21-29) to a 2-0 win over the Normal CornBelters (26-23) on Friday at Standard Bank Stadium.

Nuernberg kept the Normal CornBelters off the board during his eight innings of work. Nuernberg allowed three hits, two walks and struck out six.

Ryan Demmin was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Windy City ThunderBolts batters and allowing two runs.

Demmin couldn't get it done on the mound for the Normal CornBelters, taking a loss.
