Walding's single gives the Windy City ThunderBolts walk-off win over the Southern Illinois Miners, 2-1

A walk-off single from Miles Walding brought home the winning run for the Windy City ThunderBolts (20-29) in a 2-1 victory over the Southern Illinois Miners (27-21) in 16 innings at Standard Bank Stadium on Thursday.

Walding was hot from the plate for the Windy City ThunderBolts. Walding went 2-8, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third and sixteenth innings.

Kyle Robinson had a hot bat for the Windy City ThunderBolts. Robinson went 4-7. He singled in the second, fourth, eleventh, and thirteenth innings.

Brian Oliver allowed one earned run, five hits and no walks while striking out four over eight innings of work.

Colin OConnell improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Windy City ThunderBolts. OConnell struck out none, walked none and gave up one hit.

Michael Hepple ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
