Drew Provence held the Gateway Grizzlies (28-15) scoreless for seven innings to boost the Normal CornBelters (25-19) to a 6-0 victory.

Provence allowed four hits, four walks and struck out five.

The Normal CornBelters blew out the Gateway Grizzlies thanks to nine hits, including zero extra base hits. A three-run double by Patrick McKenna delivered the runs in the sixth. The Normal CornBelters had two hits in the inning.

Jake Stephens couldn't get it done on the hill for the Gateway Grizzlies, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked three and struck out three.
