Dyllon Nuernberg kept the Normal CornBelters (18-16) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Windy City ThunderBolts (14-21) beat the Normal CornBelters, 2-0.

Nuernberg allowed three hits, three walks and struck out seven.

Adam Davis paced the Windy City ThunderBolts at the plate. Davis went 3-4. He doubled in the fourth innings and singled in the second and sixth innings.

Drew Provence was effective even in defeat, mowing down eight the Windy City ThunderBolts batters and allowing one run.

Provence ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year.
