The Schaumburg Boomers (18-11) outlasted the Frontier Greys (10-17) at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium 5-4 on Tuesday after 12 innings.

With the score tied at four in the twelfth inning, Bobby Martin came to the plate and singled, scoring Alexi Colon.

Chad Mozingo had a hot bat for the Schaumburg Boomers. Mozingo went 4-6 and scored one run. He singled in the second, sixth, seventh, and ninth innings.

James Bierlein looked sharp on the mound. Bierlein held the Frontier Greys hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Preston Hatcher improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Schaumburg Boomers. Hatcher struck out two, walked one and gave up no hits.

Kyle Brady was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed one run.
