Alexi Colon had two extra base hits, sparking the Schaumburg Boomers (14-11) to a 2-0 victory in seven innings over the Windy City ThunderBolts (9-16) on Thursday at Standard Bank Stadium.

He homered in the second inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

The Windy City ThunderBolts couldn't get anything going as long as Matt Kuna was pitching. The Windy City ThunderBolts managed just two hits off of Kuna, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 4 2/3 innings of work.

Rey Cotilla brought the heat against the Schaumburg Boomers during his outing. Cotilla held the Schaumburg Boomers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Sean Mahley got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Mahley struck out one, walked one and gave up two hits.

Travis Tingle couldn't get it done on the bump for the Windy City ThunderBolts, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
