The Alexandria Blue Anchors hang on against the Mankato MoonDogs, 5-3

The Mankato MoonDogs (5-6) were unable to fight back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Alexandria Blue Anchors (2-8), and the Mankato MoonDogs lost 5-3 to the Alexandria Blue Anchors after falling behind by four runs in the seventh inning.

The Mankato MoonDogs scored on an RBI single by Jonathan Rodriguez in the eighth inning and a solo home run by Matt Jones in the ninth inning. Despite their efforts, the Mankato MoonDogs couldn't finish the comeback.

Jamie Ritchie had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the third inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

The Alexandria Blue Anchors relied on Chase Rihtarchik to eat up innings en route to the win. Rihtarchik allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.

Jones got on base two times in the game for the Mankato MoonDogs. He scored two runs and had one RBI.

Donovan Feenstra couldn't get it done on the hill for the Mankato MoonDogs, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.

The Alexandria Blue Anchors were sparked by Austin Listi and Ritchie, who teamed up for four hits and two RBIs.
