Early boost from Tellor helps the Wisconsin Woodchucks get past the Green Bay Bullfrogs, 6-4

Five first-inning runs helped the Wisconsin Woodchucks (7-3) to a 6-4 win over the Green Bay Bullfrogs (4-7) at Joannes Stadium on Thursday.

The Wisconsin Woodchucks would not relinquish the lead as the Green Bay Bullfrogs were unable to weather a five-run first inning deficit.

The Green Bay Bullfrogs scored on a two-run home run by Jose Godinez in the second inning, an RBI single by Tripp Martin in the fifth inning, and an RBI single by Godinez in the eighth inning. Still, the Green Bay Bullfrogs couldn't draw even.

Henry Weiler put together a nice outing. Weiler held the Green Bay Bullfrogs hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Ryan Zweck improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Wisconsin Woodchucks. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Travis Duke couldn't get it done on the bump for the Green Bay Bullfrogs, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
