An ace performance by Jake Sabol carried the Traverse City Beach Bums (10-7) to a 1-0 win over the Lake Erie Crushers (6-11) on Wednesday at Wuerfel Park.

The Traverse City Beach Bums' Sabol kept the Lake Erie Crushers off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on five hits while striking out four.

Taylor Wrenn was hot from the plate for the Traverse City Beach Bums. Wrenn went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Alex Kaminsky (1-2) took the loss for the Lake Erie Crushers. He lasted just seven innings, walked four, struck out five, and allowed one run.
