Marcus Nidiffer singled to get on base in the seventh. He then went from first to third on an RBI single by Matt Howard.Scott Dunn picked up the win for the Traverse City Beach Bums. Dunn allowed three earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out five over seven innings of work.
Despite the loss, the Rockford Aviators' Jon Gulbransen dominated the Traverse City Beach Bums' batters, giving up zero runs and striking out seven.
Garrett Granitz ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
