Doug Joyce went 1-3 and hit a home run, helping the Windy City ThunderBolts (2-5) to a 5-1 victory over the Normal CornBelters (4-2) on Thursday at The Corn Crib.

Matt Wickswat struck out six hitters en route to the the Windy City ThunderBolts win. Wickswat allowed one earned run on four hits and three walks over six innings.

Jacob Liedka looked sharp on the mound. The Windy City ThunderBolts managed just one hit off of the the Normal CornBelters' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his two innings of work.

Tyler Lavigne (1-1) took the loss for the Normal CornBelters. He lasted just five innings, walked four, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
