Nix kept the Bridgeport Bluefish off the board during his seven innings of work. Nix struck out five and allowed no walks and three hits.
Anthony Granato boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Sugar Land Skeeters. He singled in the third and eighth innings.
Mike Parisi ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
