The Gaithersburg Giants (11-7) and the D.C. Grays (8-10) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Gaithersburg Giants that eventually took advantage of them in a 3-2 win at Hoy Field.

Collin Shaw was solid at the plate for the Gaithersburg Giants. Shaw went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning.

Vincent Molesky's three strikeouts were enough to push the Gaithersburg Giants past the D.C. Grays. Molesky allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk over five innings.

Eric Ramsey had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He tripled in the third inning and doubled in the seventh innings.

Enrique Oquendo ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
