Kyle Slinger hopes every outing could go as well as Saturday, as Slinger threw a shutout to carry the San Francisco Seagulls (10-22) to a 2-0 victory over the Tri-Valley Bercovich (7-12) at Acalanes HS in 10 innings.

The San Francisco Seagulls' Slinger kept the Tri-Valley Bercovich off the scoreboard for all 10 innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on five hits while striking out eight.

John Tierney kept the San Francisco Seagulls off the board during his nine innings of work. Tierney allowed six hits, three walks and struck out four.

Brandon Chamberlain ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
