The Auburn Wildcats (11-10) beat the San Francisco Seagulls (5-17) 7-3 on Saturday at Fairmont Field behind Antonio Ibarra, who had four extra base hits.
He doubled in the first inning and tripled in the third, fourth, and ninth innings.Peter Hoffman struck out nine hitters en route to the the Auburn Wildcats win. Hoffman allowed two earned runs, nine hits and two walks over 8 1/3 innings.
A bright spot for the San Francisco Seagulls in the defeat was Kyle Slinger, who allowed only one run while striking out eight.
Shadi Azar got on base three times in the game for the San Francisco Seagulls. He doubled in the seventh inning and singled in the ninth inning.
