The San Mateo Rounders didn't stand a chance on Friday, as the South Bay Storm (17-26) captured a blowout 12-1 win at San Mateo High School.

The South Bay Storm scored six runs in the fifth on a single by Gordon Madej, a two-run single by Jonathan James, an RBI double by Travis Bonner, a single by Dominic Sebastiani, , and a double by Pablo Hernandez.

James racked up two RBIs on four hits for the South Bay Storm.

Sam Maliska picked up the win for the South Bay Storm. Maliska pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out four.

A bright spot for the San Mateo Rounders in the defeat was T, who allowed only zero runs while striking out five.

Scannell (0-1) took the loss for the San Mateo Rounders. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked none and struck out three.
