The South Bay Storm jump on the Menlo Park Legends early and coast to 12-6 win

The South Bay Storm (9-16) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Menlo Park Legends, recording a 12-6 victory on Monday at Kings Academy HS .

Twelve runs in the first three innings allowed the South Bay Storm to put the game away early.

A two-run single by Jonathan James, a hit by pitch, , , and a hit by pitch during the first inning and an RBI single by Dominic Sebastiani in the second inning supplied the early offense for the South Bay Storm.

Travis Bonner got on base four times in the game for the South Bay Storm. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Despite the loss, the Menlo Park Legends' FortyFour dominated the South Bay Storm's batters, giving up zero runs and striking out five.

Julio Ponce recorded his second win of the year for the South Bay Storm. He allowed three runs over five innings. Ponce struck out five, walked one and gave up five hits.

Turner was charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in two-thirds of an inning, walked four and struck out one.
