The Alameda Merchants need walk-off single to beat the South Bay Storm, 5-4

A walk-off single from Anthony Lazalde brought home the winning run for the Alameda Merchants (13-2) in a 5-4 victory over the South Bay Storm (9-16) at College of Alameda on Wednesday.

Lazalde was hot from the plate for the Alameda Merchants. Lazalde went 1-3 and drove in one. He singled in the ninth inning.

JR Davis racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Alameda Merchants. He tripled in the third inning, homered in the sixth inning, and singled in the eighth inning.

Gordon Madej led the South Bay Storm's offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He singled in the first, fifth, and seventh innings.

Ricky Delgado recorded his second win of the year for the Alameda Merchants. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Nolan Atkins couldn't get it done on the bump for the South Bay Storm, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
