The Joliet Slammers (36-58) took down the Normal CornBelters 7-1 on Sunday at The Corn Crib after slamming the Normal CornBelters (29-66) with four runs in the sixth inning.

David Christensen racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Joliet Slammers. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Jacob Sanchez picked up the win for the Joliet Slammers. Sanchez allowed one earned run, eight hits and one walk while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Tyler Lavigne was charged with his tenth loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked five and struck out five.
