Joe Demartini brought home the winning run to give the Coram County Lanes (24-3) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Coram County Lanes hung on to beat the lily flan coed (16-8) 3-2 on Wednesday.

Schmidt boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Coram County Lanes. He singled in the second and fourth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

Demartini got the win, running his season record to 11-0. He allowed two runs over seven innings. Demartini struck out two, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Randy Nathanson couldn't get it done on the bump for the lily flan coed, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
