Three first-inning runs helped the ISLAND Knights(weeknight (17-9) to a 7-5 win over the south shore brewers (11-15) at Moriches Complex #1 on Tuesday.

The ISLAND Knights(weeknight would not relinquish the lead as the south shore brewers were unable to weather a six-run fourth inning deficit.

The south shore brewers scored on a two-run single by Tim Drake in the fourth inning, an RBI single by Chris Ingoglia in the fifth inning, and an RBI single by Alex Otero in the sixth inning. Unfortunately, the south shore brewers weren't able to take the lead back.

Pete Plate did his best to jumpstart the offense for the ISLAND Knights(weeknight, reaching base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first inning.

Otero went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the south shore brewers.

Cris Larios recorded his sixth win for the ISLAND Knights(weeknight even though he allowed five runs over seven innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered nine hits.

Drake (4-5) took the loss for the south shore brewers. He allowed seven runs in seven innings, walked six and struck out none.
