The New Brunswick outdone by Waite and the Alberta, 12-7

Tim Waite went 1-1 and hit a home run, sparking the Alberta (3-3) to a 12-7 victory in seven innings over the New Brunswick (1-4) on Sunday at BBoys Vaughan Grove one.

He homered in the third inning.

Kurt Meeberg's 14 strikeouts were enough to push the Alberta past the New Brunswick. Meeberg allowed one earned run on three hits and one walk over five innings.

Blake Gallagher was hot from the plate for the New Brunswick. Gallagher went 3-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth and seventh innings.

Jake Cook ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed one run.
