Charlie Baumgartner clubbed two home runs, but it wasn't enough to carry the Wise Guys Rudis (17-10) to a win on Monday, as the Wise Guys Rudis fell to the Long Island Heavy Hitters (7-14) 24-15 at Dowling in seven innings.

Baumgartner racked up nine RBIs on four hits for the Wise Guys Rudis. He doubled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and homered in the fourth and fifth innings.

Mike Marshall racked up six RBIs on four hits for the Long Island Heavy Hitters. He homered in the fourth and fifth innings and singled in the first and seventh innings.

Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 39 runs and 45 hits, including zero extra base hits.

The Long Island Heavy Hitters left no doubt in the outcome with eight runs in the fifth.

Chuck Watson got his first win for the Long Island Heavy Hitters despite allowing 15 runs over seven innings. He struck out none, walked nine and surrendered 18 hits.

Baumgartner (7-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 24 runs in seven innings, walked five and struck out none.

The Long Island Heavy Hitters easily handled the Wise Guys Rudis pitching as eight hitters combined for 26 hits, 21 RBIs and 22 runs scored.
