The Shake N Bake COED (20-5) trailed by five in the fourth, but the Shake N Bake COED recovered thanks to a key single in the ninth inning from Pat Dileo Sr to pull out a 14-9 win over the Notorious (19-6) at Raynor two on Sunday.
With the score tied at nine, Dileo Sr came to the plate and singled, bringing home Natalie Hecker.
The Notorious couldn't slow down Dileo Sr, who paced the Shake N Bake COED with five hits. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the first, fourth, seventh, and ninth innings.
Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 23 total runs and 47 hits during the game.
Alex Rodriguez put himself in scoring position with four extra-base hits for the Shake N Bake COED. He homered in the second inning, singled in the fourth inning, tripled in the sixth inning, and doubled in the eighth and ninth innings.
Nick Zavesky racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Notorious. He doubled in the fourth and sixth innings and singled in the ninth inning.
Even though Dileo Sr allowed nine runs over nine innings he still recorded the victory, his eleventh of the season. Dileo Sr struck out none, walked none and gave up 17 hits.
Jimmy Postiglione couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Notorious, taking a loss. He allowed 14 runs in nine innings, walked one and struck out two.
