Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Buckleys (15-12) outscored the F-14 (16-11) 18-12 in seven innings.
The two teams combined for 40 hits in the game.
The Buckleys blew out the F-14 thanks to 25 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Buckleys scored six runs in the third on a two-run double by Rob Gerdts, an RBI single by Rob Fleury, an RBI double by John Morge, an RBI single by Ian Watson, and a groundout by Matt Hannaford.
Mike Bedson racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Buckleys. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the third, fourth, and seventh innings.
Ray Sonenberg racked up three RBIs on four hits for the F-14. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third, sixth, and seventh innings.
Chris Fleury got his third win for the Buckleys despite allowing 12 runs over seven innings. Fleury struck out none, walked seven and gave up 15 hits.
Lenny Thaw (11-5) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 18 runs in seven innings, walked two and struck out none.
The Buckleys easily handled the F-14 pitching as six hitters combined for 19 hits, 14 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
