Christian Smith went 1-1 as the Nova Scotia (1-4) took home a 6-2 victory over the Manitoba (2-4) in seven innings at Midget Parc Henri-Casault on Sunday.

He singled in the second inning.

Tyler MacCallum picked up the win for the Nova Scotia. MacCallum pitched six innings and allowed no earned runs, five hits and no walks while striking out four.

The Nova Scotia had no answer for Ben Onyshko, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Onyshko held the Nova Scotia hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Matt Dunstone (0-1) took the loss for the Manitoba. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
