Three first-inning runs helped the Id Hit It (21-7) to a 7-5 win over the toon squad (18-11) on Saturday.
The Id Hit It would not relinquish the lead as the toon squad were unable to weather a six-run fourth inning deficit.
The toon squad scored on an RBI single by PJ Haines, an RBI single by Sean Geddes, and a two-run double by Mike Ging in the fourth inning and an RBI double by Kieran Kerley in the fifth inning. Still, the toon squad couldn't catch the Id Hit It.
Bren Bates put himself in scoring position with three extra-base hits for the Id Hit It. He doubled in the first, third, and fourth innings and singled in the seventh inning.
The toon squad's Ging was perfect at the dish, going 3-3.
The Id Hit It's Harlan Smith, Bates, Danny Doherty and Danielle Cerullo combined for 10 hits and five RBIs.
