Randy Ramirez collected three hits, sparking the Regina Red Sox (9-1) to a 7-3 victory over the Medicine Hat Mavericks (7-5) on Wednesday at Athletic Park.

Ryne Drummonds's six strikeouts were enough to push the Regina Red Sox past the Medicine Hat Mavericks. Drummonds allowed three earned runs, five hits and no walks over seven innings.

Ben Schubert racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He singled in the second inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Andrew Shoemaker (0-1) took the loss for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
