An exceptional effort by Danny Delguidice carried the Smack that BOMBERS (19-6) to a 15-3 win in six innings over the Lily Flanagans DCconnect (15-10) on Monday at East Islip Marina Playoffs.
Delguidice hit two home runs for the Smack that BOMBERS. Delguidice went 4-5 in the game with five RBIs and three runs scored. Delguidice homered in the fourth and sixth innings.
Seven runs in the opening three innings allowed the Smack that BOMBERS to easily put away the Lily Flanagans DCconnect. An RBI single by Emily McAvoy, an RBI single by Al, an RBI single by Antonia LoBello, and a two-run single by Christopher Dowell in the first inning and a two-run single by Mel Lobello during the second inning helped the Smack that BOMBERS put some runs on the board early.
Matt Phillips racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Lily Flanagans DCconnect. He tripled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Mike Ventorino recorded his eighth win of the year for the Smack that BOMBERS. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered 10 hits.
Scott Greene (9-4) took the loss for the Lily Flanagans DCconnect. He allowed 15 runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked none and struck out one.
