The heavy hittaz (21-5) jumped on the Vandelay Industries (18-8) early on their way to a 6-5 win on Sunday at Levitts in seven innings, scoring four runs in the first inning.

The heavy hittaz held off the Vandelay Industries, as the Vandelay Industries were unable to overcome a four-run first inning deficit.

The Vandelay Industries scored on a two-run single by Guthrie Taber in the second inning and a fielder's choice, an error, and an RBI single by Eric in the seventh inning. Unfortunately, the Vandelay Industries weren't able to take the lead back.

Joe Giovanniello went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the heavy hittaz. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.

Even though AJ Flieschman allowed five runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his seventh of the season. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered 16 hits.

Tom Fernandez ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked five and struck out none.
