Saturday was a great day for Denver Wynn, as Wynn allowed two hits to carry the Regina Red Sox (7-0) to a 2-1 victory over the Medicine Hat Mavericks (6-3) at Currie Field.
Chester Pak helped the Regina Red Sox take the lead for good in the seventh inning. Daniel Bick singled to start the seventh. He then went from first to second on a groundout by Chris Untereiner. Finally, Pak came to the plate with the score tied at one, and singled, plating Bick.
Billy Martin (1-2) took the loss for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
