Sixth-inning rally sparks blowout win for the Worcester Tornadoes, 8-1

A seven-run explosion in the sixth inning hoisted the Worcester Tornadoes to an 8-1 win in seven innings over the Kansas City T-Bones at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitto on Saturday.

Jerod Edmondson helped the Worcester Tornadoes pull ahead for the duration in the sixth inning. With the score tied at one, Edmondson came to the plate and homered.

Edmondson racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Worcester Tornadoes. He singled in the first inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Michael Gedman picked up the win for the Worcester Tornadoes. Gedman allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Shaun Garceau couldn't get it done on the mound for the Kansas City T-Bones (43-37), taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked two and struck out four.
