The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (1-0) and the Chatham Anglers (0-1) exchanged the lead four times on Thursday, but the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox ended up on top with a 7-4 win over the Chatham Anglers.

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox pulled out the win thanks to a strong fourth inning. A sacrifice fly by Justin Shafer scored Alex Blandino to give the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox the lead for good.

Robert Pehl racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He homered in the third inning.

Joey Denato had an impressive outing against the Chatham Anglers' lineup. The Chatham Anglers managed just two hits off of the the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his four innings of work.

Louie Lechich was hot from the plate for the Chatham Anglers. Lechich went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the second inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Andrew Thurman got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed four runs over five innings. Thurman struck out four, walked three and gave up five hits.

Michael Wagner (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
