The Wareham Gatemen (1-0) jumped out to an early lead on the Falmouth Commodores (0-1) and captured a 7-1 victory on Thursday at Spillane Field.

Five runs in the first three innings allowed the Wareham Gatemen to put the game away early.

Horan went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Wareham Gatemen.

Nicholas Rumbelow brought the heat against the Falmouth Commodores during his outing. Rumbelow held the Falmouth Commodores hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

Kendall Graveman got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over 6 2/3 innings. Graveman struck out one, walked two and gave up eight hits.

Trey Masek was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked four and struck out six.
